Atharv Pacharne is a wildlife conservation photographer and cinematographer from India, working at the intersection of wildlife, conservation and visual storytelling.

His work is about creating a connection. To make people stop, look closer, understand what is being lost and recognise that protecting nature is not someone else's responsibility, but something in which each of us can play a part.. As wildlife, habitats and biodiversity continue to disappear at an accelerating pace, He believes visual storytelling can play an important role in bringing these realities closer to people and creating a deeper sense of connection with the natural world.

Working through photography and film, he documents wildlife, conservation efforts and the people whose lives are closely connected to nature. His approach is rooted in patience, observation and a genuine curiosity about the subjects he encounters, with an emphasis on creating honest and emotionally engaging stories rather than simply recording what is in front of the camera.

Atharv currently works with Wildlife SOS India. His field experience has taken him into diverse conservation environments, documenting wildlife, rescue and rehabilitation efforts, conservation initiatives and the people working on the ground to protect India's natural heritage.

Atharv’s cinematography credits include Saving Baby Bani, for which he served as cinematographer. The film is part of his growing body of work in wildlife and conservation filmmaking, where he brings a cinematic perspective to stories of animals, their journeys, and the people working to protect them.

His photographs have been published across international news platforms, magazines and editorial stories, reaching audiences in India and internationally. His work has contributed to stories covering wildlife, conservation and environmental issues.

Alongside his photography work, He is developing his practice in wildlife documentary filmmaking, with a particular interest in stories that explore the relationship between wildlife, people and changing ecosystems.
